Most likely, the surveillance kit is not defective. There may be moisture in the acoustic tube causing the transmission to not be heard or heard at a lower volume than before. Due to hygiene factors, earwax, and moisture, acoustic tubes should be replaced every 3-6 months. The acoustic tubes are easily removable from the surveillance kit, allowing for easy replacement. We offer acoustic tube replacements, which you can find here.
